What the AVEPM Does
The AVEPM advances veterinary epidemiology and preventive medicine through education, training, and knowledge exchange.
The Association fulfills its mission by:
- Promoting the dissemination of knowledge and best practices in veterinary epidemiology and preventive medicine
- Organizing and sponsoring continuing education programs for professionals in the field
- Partnering in the delivery of workshops, conferences, seminars and symposia
- Supporting graduate education by sponsoring student awards and travel scholarships
- Hosting the annual Schwabe Symposium, which recognizes an individual’s lifetime achievement in veterinary epidemiology
